I can’t help but wonder about Ingo’s ability to become incorporeal. Does he slip into some other plain, or just off the visual spectrum? Can he see while gone? Is it a part of having a ghost type aspect or the fact he almost died? Is it like a defense mechanism? And… you mentioned that when his chest shattered he kept phasing in and out of reality- I wonder if the pearl clan gets… nervous when he disappears like that in front of them (injured or not). If they question weather or not they’ll see him again.

Yes! Oh this brings up a headcannon I've had about ghost pokemon for a while. I like to think when they go incorporial or invisible they slip just outside of reality. It's not the distortion world but it's like this place that's just a little out of sync with the real world. Like reality but to the left. It's a place only ghosts can reach.

As for Ingo, he can still see what happens but its off. Everthing is warped and looks distorted. He can still even see living pokemon and people but mostly by their spirits rather than them as they are alive.

Anyone with ghost type aspects can fade out of reality but for them it's unsettling and uncomfortable. They would really rather not do it because they are still very much alive so it feels like they cannot and should not be there.

Ingo is...a bit messed up. To him he genuinely likes the place he feels perfectly at home out of sync with reality as he does in reality. He shouldn't and he knows it but he does.

Before his chest was so severely injured no one really worried about his vanishing. It's just something he does, it's something ghosts just do. It's more unsettling and creepy than it is worrying. But while injured and fading in and out of reality, yea they were afraid that one of those times...he just wouldn't return.

I've been put into a poor mood by work and need to yell so anyway Irida just casually seating herself in Ingo's lap and nearly killing him ☆

It's not even like something she does for no reason, literally the first time was only because the two of them were waiting somewhere with nowhere to sit down. Irida finally gets tired of standing around, Ingo can tell because she's trying to shift her weight foot-to-foot to keep from getting sore. So Ingo sits properly on the ground, saying he'll make a spot for Irida too, because he's also tired and his back is fucking killing him.

And what Ingo means is that he'll sit down and fold his coat next to him, so Irida doesn't have to sit on the cold wet ground and get mud and frost all over her bare legs and caked in her shoes. He's a polite gentleman.

What Irida thinks he means is that he'll literally just let her sit on his knees so she doesn't have to sit in the grass and hey, if he's offering and it means she doesn't have to wash stains out of her white shorts later-

Poor Ingo is just trying to get his coat off and suddenly he has Irida sitting on his lap without a care in the world. It's not even like in a sexy way, she's facing away from him and is sitting closer to his knees than his hips, Ingo is just a shy maiden about it. XD

Ingo, trying to pull his cap over his pink face without accidentally smacking her with his elbow: N-No problem, my lady...

(Emmet either hears about this or sees Irida do it again after he eventually Falls to Hisui, too, and makes a point of making very direct eye contact with Irida while throwing himself into Ingo's lap. Well as a beginner beginner I used MSpaint XDD But you don't have to start out that simple or primitive in your digital art journey-

The second program I started using was FireAlpaca, and I've used it ever since I first downloaded it years ago! Its a free program that's easy for beginners to learn but also has a lot of tools for the pros!

Keep in mind though that it can be a biiiit buggy at time and has some odd quirks you'll have to learn how to work around.. <XDD Other than that, I recommend it!

(Also thank you! :DD I seem to be approaching another art block but I'd like to post again soon! :)) )

Cool lizard! But if I saw it in real life I'd probably freak out XDD my brain would register that lizard as "Yup! That's a giant spider/creepy crawly and it will scurry towards your feet and crawl up your legs if you get too close". You know?? XDD

I had plans to make a follow up comic that ends with Emmet finally having a genuine smile.. (and Ingo having a genuine frown..? 👀👀) But man, I got kicked in the teeth with art block suddenly 💀💀

I already knew about the scene before watching it, so it didn't effect me too much..

But dang, I love that scene. If I hadn't already seen it beforehand I probably would have started crying.. 🥺😭😭💞💞💞

Also its kind'a the opposite. Its not looking at Ingo that reminds them of the separation.. is not looking at him that brings the anxiety back..

If Elesa goes too long without seeing or hearing from Ingo, she'll start to feel uneasy and anxious. Only feeling better when she gives Ingo a call and hears his voice..

For Emmet, if Ingo is out of his sight for more than 30 minutes or so, anxiety will start to creep up his spine. Getting more and more anxious until he is physically reunited with him.

Sometimes even needing a hug or a gentle hand on the shoulder to physically ground him and remind him that Ingo is home now. he is safe..

ps i love how you draw them and characterize them i spin them in my brain like theyre in the microwave

Yes!! Chandelure’s a ghost pokemon, which means they get… funny over time. (Personal headcannon— ghost pokemon are not meant to stay in the living world for long. They usually disperse and fade over a few years— but ghost pokemon with a focus, either that be a trainer or place, can last for decades.)

Chandelure’s heavily bonded to ingo (and by extension, emmet). This means she has full access to a variety of truly sick roasts. (Unfortunately for her, ingo at this point has fully matured into a sarcastic shithead. The two stand on equal ground haha.)

And can’t forget Emmet and Eelektross! The two spoil each other.

This takes place probably during their first few years as Subway Masters, where there’s a huge overhaul of the tunnel system (I like to imagine the subway tunnels of Nimbasa get… twisty, space wise. Their first few months are spent literally just clearing out the ghost pokemon and rerouting trains to avoid traffic.)

Good thing the twins have their trusty starters to keep things moving. Here for my submas masterpost!

Submas Prompt: Not even Hours -

Ingo opens his eyes. Darkness first, soon giving way to the silver gaze of moonlight through the window. It takes a moment for his vision to adjust, but frankly he need not see to know Arceus had upheld its end of the bargain. He can feel the comforting swathe of his own bedsheet beneath him. He can hear the faint ticks of the old clock on his mantlepiece. The familiar warmth, the familiar smell- a mix of oils and metals. Home. Breathing deeply, Ingo sits up, places himself at the foot of his bed. It's almost hard to believe that he's here. His hands brush over the smooth duvet. His eyes take in familiar features. His own room. His own house- more accurately, his and Emmet's. Or is it? Ingo can't imagine Emmet would have beared to stay without his brother. He has to take this slowly. Ingo knows he's been gone a long time. Three years, five months, ten days, and four hours. He needs to adjust quickly, find out what's happened in his absence before revealing himself. If the house has new owners, having the police called on him wouldn't be a good start. But wait. The room hasn't changed, has it? The wardrobe, the desk, the model trains, even his laptop. Everything is where it was when he 'left'. Something about that perturbs him. Emmet may have wished to keep what he had left of his brother intact, true, but the laptop would have been sold, wouldn't it? No sentimental value there. And if the laptop was there, then- Ingo looks back to the drawers beside the bed. His phone is there. Again, Emmet wouldn't have kept it, once he'd scoured through all the messages in an effort to find clues of where Ingo had gone. The perturbing feeling settles in his gut and writhes. Ingo reaches for the phone, unlocks it. Still has charge, still the same code. If he has been gone for as long as he has, Ingo considers, then doubtlessly he'd have received plenty of texts enquiring where he was. He opens his messages. Ingo feels a chill go down his spine as he reads the top message. Not because of any real unease to it. It's Skyla, somehow sounding flustered through text, asking him for advice on what to wear for Elesa's latest TV gig. Should she go fancy? Go casual? She doesn't want to make her girlfriend look bad on live television. His reply is there; go casual. Elesa's only rule about inviting her girlfriend to events was that Elesa always had the fancier outfit. His hands shake. He looks at the time the messages were sent. He shifts back, looks at other texts. Little Lacey, reminding him that she'd be home from the Academy for the Christmas break and that he and Emmet had PROMISED to take her on the multi-battle Subway. Drayden, once again stumped on what to do about his flunking grandson and clearly desperate for anyone's help. One of the Triplets, suggesting a train that was also a restaurant (he had advised taking up the matter with Emmet). Absolutely no-one, not even his brother, is asking where he's gone. The feeling in his gut writhes harder. Ingo feels oddly out of breath, like he's swaying, dazed, disorientated. A horrible thought is dawning on him. Ingo remembers when he was taken by Arceus, right down to the minute. Eight thirty-five PM, December 15th, 2015. Shaking, he exits his messages and checks the date. December 15th, 2015. Eleven forty-seven PM. The phone falls from his hand and clatters onto the floor. Ingo wrenches himself upwards, staggering from the bed towards the wardrobe, gazing madly into the mirror affixed to the left door. He see a man who's spent over three years in another time. Shadows under his eyes, a paleness to the skin, uneven shave, scratches, the rugged clothes. The perturbing feeling is twisting in his gut, shaking Ingo to the bone, leaving him panting in panic as the realization hits him. He has lived over three years in Hisui. He has been changed in ways not even Arceus could undo. But for his brother? His friends? Unova in its entirety? It's only been three hours.

Can we get the reader rescuing the submas twins who where kidnapped by Team Plasma? And can you have the reader fighting the grunts with just they're bare hands? No Pokemon just throwing hands and absolutely beating the asses of both grunts and Pokemon. ✨Hisui style✨ hope this makes sense! Lol

Submas x Fighter Reader: Reader gets kidnapped by Team Plasma

Though the twins are expert battlers, you're a little more mundane compared to them.

You really only have a few pokemon, but they're your babies. You battle occasionally but you don't intend to be an expert in it. You have your own career that you enjoy, after having worked hard in school to earn certificates and degrees. (One of them so happens to be a perfect shiny joltik. Emmet wishes you'd train it more so he can battle them.)

Though the twins usually gravitate strong trainers when it came to sharing partners, they do like how gentle and serene you are. You have a very nurturing nature towards them and their pokemon, ensuring everyone's good health and emotional support. You provide the twins with a comfort they longed for years, they are definitely making every best effort possible to ensure this relationship lasts forever.

Since you've been with the twins for a while, you got acquainted with their employees on the battle trains as well. Everyone knows who you are, considering you are technically dating two of Unova's most sought after celebrities. The twins naturally have concerns over your safety and try to insist you take one of their reserve team members with you, for the moments you're away from them. Especially when Team Plasma shows its dirty influence again.

You reassure them that you're fine, giving them both a kiss before you board your next train.

But eventually, the twins' biggest fear comes true when they hear through the radio that you're being attacked by Team Plasma.

They swiftly ignore their duties as Subway Bosses, boarding the next train that would take them to the station you were heading. Emmet is rambling about how worried he is, about making Team Plasma pay for this, and constantly asking Ingo if he thinks you're alright. Ingo can't say much, not wanting to give a self fulfilling prophecy.

When the train boards, they run. They run as fast as their legs can take them, only to stand baffled by what they saw next.

They saw you physically fighting pokemon. Your slow and gentle nature wasn't seen at all in this moment, as you relentlessly fight your way to victory.

But when the twins comes to their senses, they throw out their own pokemon to join the battle. Yelling at you to come back over to them. But instead you run up to the Team Plasma members and knock them out, one by one, in a single attack.

Ingo and Emmet catch on to what you're doing and swiftly take down their opponent's pokemon, everyone is subdued and swiftly detained. Bystanders cheer in your victories.

When the enemy is taken away by police, Emmet runs up to you and tackle hugs you. He was just so worried! He almost starts crying about how worried he was, clinging onto your body.

Ingo is next to hug you, but quickly takes you to private office space. He tends to your cuts and bruises there.

They ask you how you learned to fight like that. Prior to moving to Unova, it so turns out that you were a former pro cage fighter. Their jaws drop at this. They don't believe you at first. You literally have to show them pictures of you, of who you were five years ago prior to meeting them.

Ingo and Emmet don't know where to begin with you. First they praise you, then lecture you, and then just... they hold you close. They were so worried. They love you so much.

You stay in that moment, your caring nurturing side of you coming out to comfort them. To ease their worries, you agree to training your pokemon and taking one of their reserve members. This relieves them immensely.

TIT was absolutely incredible! went in having somehow completely avoided all spoilers and it was just. amazing. first time ive bought vip for anything, absolutely no regrets.

came out with a somewhat different set of bracelets than i came in with too! i love that bracelet trading is a thing at so many events now.

for the silly bit. i asked them to do the submas pointing pose. i was completely dying inside while doing so. meanwhile they didn’t question it at all when i showed them the picture of the pose they were just like yay ok!

they are so well practiced and chill with meet and greets it’s wild, completely different experience to to many mcyts ive met over the years haha.
